We wondered how our 6-year-old lab mix would adapt to life on a boat. Luckily, she took to it like a fish to water. And her sea legs are even better than ours! Do you have a dog on board? Here’s the low-down how we got Brewster cleared through customs when we entered the […]
Having moved with Brewster (our 40-lb Labrador mix) from the US to the U.K., back to the US, and then into the Bahamas on a sailboat, we know that figuring out the legal documentation and process to get a dog into a new country can be very nerve-wracking – but certainly doable! Our advice is […]
Faced with forecasts of a catastrophic category 5 hurricane (Irma), here’s how we prepared Peacemaker and hunkered down for the storm in Georgetown, Bahamas.

Peacemaker has finally left the United States and is on its way to the Bahamas! Her crew; Leah, Brewster, and myself were excited to undertake the 125 mile passage across the gulf stream and to North Bimini, blue skies, and water so clear you can see to the bottom.
