In search of the Wild

– TO TRAVEL FREELY IS THE GOAL –

– No boundaries – No fences – No Pants –

Wild is out there – somewhere.

…and the forgotten, untamed, natural spirit that beckons me to shed my clothes and run freely into the frigid ocean also calls me to ditch out on what I once believed was normal and begin my search for a truly wild waypoint in the world, a dot on the earth yet to be explored, charted, or mapped, and a point that is flawless and graciously accepts that I don’t belong in a society of political, business-minded, pants-wearing folks.

Change is in the wind and the wind is howling, and with what took extremely little convincing, my wife (Leah), our dog (Brewster), and myself have chosen a new heading, one that is directed more by a calming breeze and sea than by a busy rush-hour-packed highway. A mysterious path that will lead far away from the safety of the resorts with the pink umbrellas to a more sustainable way of seeing the world as we feel it was meant to be seen – freely and without restraint.

Sailing seemed to be the obvious solution to our dilemma of how so, with a hint of trepidation mixed with senseless passion, in 2017 we began our journey through the world on a sailboat, exploring everything we can, helping where we can, documenting our successes, failures and what we’ve discovered along the way. With a passion for the environment and our natural surroundings, traveling leisurely and enjoying the views simply isn’t enough though. We’re constantly searching for ways to help Mother Nature and all its inhabitants and will be striving to do what we can with what little we have as we head into a direction that takes us to parts unknown – someplace wild perhaps?
